The Dallas Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public education about architecture, design, public space and the urban environment, continues its 2024-2025 Panel Series on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 7:00 pm. The Forum is pleased to present the Ron Wommack Legacy Program – A Moderated Conversation. Five outstanding Dallas architects will gather to discuss the career and legacy of award-winning architect Ron Wommack, who passed away earlier this year. This Lecture will be held at theAngelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station. This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC – no reservations required. A Reception to celebrate Ron Wommack’s birthday (which is December 4) will be held AFTER the program in the lobby of the Angelika.
The Dallas Architecture Forum is honored to present this special program celebrating the legacy of Ron Wommack, FAIA. Ron touched many lives as an architect, mentor, teacher, colleague, friend and family member. He was as open and humane as his architecture - focused on light, nature, modernism, neighborhoods and people. His work received many design awards, and Ron served in key leadership roles in the North Texas community, especially with AIA Dallas and The Dallas Architecture Forum.
Join us as five of Ron’s friends and colleagues celebrate Ron’s legacy -- a brilliant man with a big heart, a true philosopher who loved people as much as he loved design. Each program participant will talk about how Ron influenced their lives and work, so that all attending can celebrate his remarkable legacy.
Ron’s birthday is December 4, the day after this program. Following the program, you are invited to join fellow attendees for a birthday celebration of our dear friend, Ron Wommack!
