Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD) held the 2017 “Under the Moonlight” Gala Saturday, March 25 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Westin Dallas Downtown. This year, the honorary co-chairs for the benefit were Marianne and Roger Staubach, while Maggie Cooke Kipp and Heather Randall served as co-chairs. Heather New and Becky Palm co-chaired Underwriting, and Jane Rozelle and Rachel Michell co-chaired the Live Auction.

Each spring, “Under the Moonlight” helps RMHD raise funds to support the 1,200 families it hosts throughout the year while their children are receiving treatment for illnesses or injuries at Dallas hospitals. Honorary co-chairs Marianne and Roger Staubach stepped in as Blue Moon Sponsors at the $10,000 level.

At the $5,000 level, Silver Moon support came from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater North Texas, Mike and Salle McWilliams, co-chairs Maggie Cooke Kipp and Heather Randall, Annell and Kelly Williams, Southwest Airlines, James C. Carroll, and the Westin Downtown Dallas. Crescent Moon sponsors at the $2,500 level include Katherine and Bob Penn, Natalie and Drew Dossett, Littler Mendelson, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Crouch, Melina and David Emmons, Ann and Doug Smellage, Sharon and Henri Bromberg, LiquidAgents Healthcare, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, Cate and Jeremy Ford, Haynes and Boone, April and Chad Cook, Becky and Mike Palm, Children’s Health, Cecilie and Ronnie Holman, M. Gale and Associates, UT Southwestern, Cynthia and Kevin O’Brien, Baker Botts, and Girl’s Night Out!

“We were honored to have such amazing sponsors and chairs for ‘Under the Moonlight’,” said Jill Cumnock, Chief Executive Officer of RMHD. “It is through the support of sponsors like these that we are able to continue our important work helping keep families together. Marianne and Roger Staubach have shown a deep commitment to Dallas through their philanthropic efforts, while Heather Randall and Maggie Kipp are a dynamic pair that bring real exuberance to their fundraising..”

RMHD serves as a home-away-from-home for seriously ill or injured children and their families, all of whom come from distances greater than 40 miles away from Dallas to receive care for their children. Although RMHD asks guest families to contribute only $15 per night, no family is ever turned away for an inability to pay.
