DALLAS, TEXAS, June 06, 2014 – Homemade, fresh, organic baby food is now available for Dallas parents at their doorstep, thanks to the opening of Happy Tummy, Healthy Baby a new home-delivery service for moms and dads that want to give their children the very best. Bridget Koenitzer, the owner and head chef of Happy Tummy, Healthy Baby is a mother of three, and she started the company when she realized that there were so few options for fresh baby food in grocery stores.

“First off, I enjoy good food, and I want to share my love of food with my kids,” said Koenitzer, a graduate of the San Francisco Culinary School, who also has years of restaurant experience. “I was shocked to find the lack of variety in store brands, as well as all the additives and preservatives that I didn’t want to give them.”

Happy Tummy, Healthy Baby’s menu includes three stages, uniquely suited to the age of the child.  Recipes range from simple purees of apples, pears, pumpkin and sweet potatoes for the youngest customers, to more complex flavor profiles for older children that include whole grains like barley, quinoa and oatmeal. All the food is made and packaged less than 24 hours before delivery, and is stored in reusable glass jars or baby-friendly squeeze pouches.  Each order comes with enough food for 7 days, with generous portions.

“Our menu has been designed to introduce wholesome, organic, and nutritious fruits, veggies, and grains to your baby, keeping their tummies happy and baby healthy.” Koenitzer said. “We list all of the ingredients in our food so you know exactly what you are getting.  There is no added sugar, salt, or water in any of our recipes, just good honest food.  This is a great option for parents who want the best for their babies but don’t want to sacrifice quality time for time spent preparing food.   For busy, tired or working parents this is a convenience that doesn’t entail a compromise.”

Happy Tummy, Healthy Baby is currently delivering to homes throughout North Dallas; zip codes are listed on the website.  Pick-up locations will be available soon for outlying areas.  Deliveries are made on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays.
