Dallas-based co-ed independent school, The Compass School of Texas, is excited to welcome families to its annual Open House on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This come-and-go event offers a vibrant introduction to the school’s unique educational approach, where curiosity, creativity, and character are at the heart of every lesson. Step inside the campus and witness how curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning come alive every day.
At the event, prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to experience the Farm-to-Table program, feed the Compass chickens, learn strategy and sportsmanship in chess, and practice a few yoga poses. Prospective students will also learn how science is brought to life on a tour of the nature-filled Compass School of Texas campus, and have the chance to explore by completing a scavenger hunt. Families will learn about programs like daily Spanish lessons, Art, and Music, and the School's commitment to teaching students to be curious, resilient, and purpose-driven leaders.
To dive deeper, families are invited to attend one of two information sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., led by Head of School Shelly Sender, who will share more about Compass’ mission, core values, and admissions process. Educators will also be available in the classrooms to answer attendees’ questions about Compass’ curriculum.
The Open House is open to families of children in Pre-K through fifth grade. The Compass School of Texas’ Open House offers a wonderful opportunity for prospective students and their families to experience a day in the life of a Compass student and discover what makes the school an exceptional place for early childhood education. The school will showcase its comprehensive curriculum, emphasizing hands-on learning across several disciplines.
