The Dallas Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public education about architecture, design, and the urban environment, continues its Spring 2024 Panel Discussion Series by presenting An Evening to Honor Thomas Taylor on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. This Panel Discussion will be held at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station at 6:30 pm. This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. A special reception to honor Mr.Taylor will be AFTER THE PROGRAM, at Finch Restaurant in Mockingbird Station. Join The Forum for an evening honoring Thomas Taylor, PE. This will be a special evening to honor Thomas, who is one of the most admired structural engineers in practice. Among the many internationally recognized architects Thomas has worked with are Philip Johnson, Thom Mayne, Renzo Piano and Stephen Holl. Locally, Thomas has worked with many well-respected architects including Bud Oglesby, E. G. Hamilton, Max Levy, Graham Greene and Joe McCall.
Some of the significant local projects that Thomas has been involved with include Nasher Sculpture Center, Thanks-Giving Square Chapel, Dallas Police Memorial, Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Dallas Convention Center, AT&T Corporate Headquarters, UT-Dallas Brain Performance Institute, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Crow Museum / UT-Dallas Athenaeum, Irving Convention Center, Parkland Hospital, Dallas Holocaust Museum, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Highland Park Village Renovations, Sundance Square, Cypress Waters, Crow Holdings, and the Amon Carter Museum.
The evening will feature enlightening conversations about some of the most significant structures in which Thomas collaborated on the design. He will be joined by leading architects and allied professionals in these discussions.
