The Dallas Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public education about architecture, design, and the urban environment, begins its 2022-2023 Lecture Series on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Dallas Museum of Art. The Dallas Architecture Forum continues the celebration of its 25th Anniversary by featuring eight of Dallas’ well-respected residential architects. These thought leaders will visit together in informal conversations about their work. All these esteemed designers have long-term relationships with The Forum – many of them for the twenty-five years of The Forum’s existence. All have spoken previously at Forum events, and we are honored to have them together for this special evening.

The evening’s speakers will be Bruce Bernbaum, AIA; Russell Buchanan, FAIA; Gary Cunningham, FAIA; Sharon Odum, AIA; Marcel Quimby, FAIA; Dan Shipley, FAIA; and Ron Wommack, FAIA. The evening’s moderators will be Kate Aoki, AIA and Kelly Mitchell, AIA. The program will consist of two moderated groups with four of the eight speakers in each group. Each of the architects will present some of their project images. The unique twist is that, rather than the architect discussing his/her projects, the others in the group will give feedback about their colleague’s work. This should prove to be an insightful and fun discussion. We are delighted to feature this relaxed and casual presentation with a focus to honor respected Dallas architects – a night not to be missed!

This Lecture will be presented in the Horchow Auditorium of the Dallas Museum of Art. Forum members may attend for free. Tickets for non-members will be available at the door. Check-in and pre-Lecture Reception will begin at 6:15 pm in the Hamon Atrium of the DMA.

Sponsors for this Lecture are Season Sponsors Eggersmann Kitchens | Home Living, Maharger Development | Reggie Graham and SMINK Art + Design. Series Sponsors are Architectural Lighting Alliance, Faisal Halum Group, HDR Architecture, HKS, Inc., HOCKER, Jackson Walker, Kafka Properties LLC, ModernDallas, O’Brien Architects, Perennials & Sutherland LLC, and Scott + Cooner.
