Prevent Blindness Texas works to prevent blindness, preserve sight, and enhance and extend the quality of vision life for all residents of Texas. Celebrating our 60th anniversary in 2016, Prevent Blindness Texas has been directly responsible for saving the sight and enhancing the quality of vision for thousands of indigent or uninsured adults and children. PBT touches the lives of thousands of Texans each year through public and professional education, advocacy, certified vision screener training, community outreach and patient service programs. Prevent Blindness Texas is an affiliate of Prevent Blindness America, the nation’s leading eye health and safety organization dedicated to fighting blindness and saving sight.
