When Marinas International first thought up the idea of Lakefest, our dream was to bring together the community in which we work and reside for a greater good. But we wanted to be different than other charity benefits; we wanted to be affordable, we wanted to benefit local charities, and above all we wanted 100% of the proceeds to go back to the benefiting charity.

Now going on our 10th Annual Lakefest, we have been able to stay true to our original vision for the event. Over the past 9 years, Lakefest has raised nearly $500,000 benefiting, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The American Cancer Society, Legacy Brain Foundation and this year benefiting Texas Association for Infant Mental Health.

We are able to benefit these amazing organizations by putting on a Country Music concert at one of our local marinas. We have been supported by some big names in the Country Music Industry and are proud to be able to offer top-of-the-line headliner entertainment. In years past we've had artists such as the Eli Young Band, Jack Ingram, Stoney LaRue, Bowling For Soup, Robert Earl Keen, Johnny Cooper; just to name a few.

Lakefest also strives to not only bring fun to Lake Grapevine, but boating safety and awareness, as well. Boating is a big part of what we do and we want to encourage everyone that loves to spend time on the water as much as we do, to always wear a lifevest and to boat responsibly!
