GoransonBain’s Kathryn F. Samler  has received peer recognition in the 2015 Super Lawyers® Texas Rising Stars.  Samler received the professional achievement in the area of family law, distinguishing her among the top 3 percent of young Texas attorneys. This is the second year she joined an exclusive group of attorneys across the state who have achieved this recognition.

Practicing law since 2007, Samler brings unique experience from serving as an attorney/guardian ad litem and amicus attorney. She understands the emotional and financial toll that litigation can take on families; as a result, whenever possible she collaborates with clients and opposing parties to reach resolution without unnecessary litigation.

In those instances when litigation is unavoidable, she advocates aggressively for her clients in the courtroom. She is also respected for working with other attorneys to keep matters from escalating and adding cost and difficulty.

Samler received her Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and her Juris from St. Mary’s University School of Law. 

She serves as a board member for ArtReach, Dallas, and a board member and grant writer for Legacy Family Court Foundation. She is a member of Annette Stewart American Inn of Court, Collin County Bar Association, Collin County Young Lawyers Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Dallas Bar Association; Family Law Section, State Bar of Texas; Family Law Section.
