A workplace culture that fosters a collegial atmosphere focused on guiding people in family crisis with compassion and determination has earned GoransonBain a top spot on the Dallas Morning News 2016 Top Workplace. The award recognizes Dallas-area organizations that have created exceptional work environments and is based solely on results from an employee feedback survey.  This year the Texas family law firm made its debut among the more than 2,276 companies that applied for the award.

“Individuals may comprise the building blocks for success, but teamwork forms the foundation,” said Curtis W. Harrison II, Managing Partner of the Texas family law firm.  “GoransonBain brings together a highly skilled group of professionals who truly love working together in a team environment. That makes all the difference.”

“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”

Beyond the top 5 ranking among small businesses in the Dallas area, the firm was also recognized for best work/life flexibility.  ““The world is ever changing and being open to that change and embracing innovation allows us to do what is best for our employees and our clients,” added Harrison.  Over the past several years the firm has experienced unparalleled growth.  Harrison credits the firm’s success to attracting and retaining both its professional legal team and staff to the firm’s strong culture, positive work environment and reputation for integrity and exceptional client value.
