Ahab Bowen, Uptown's vintage shop that has been run by Michael Longcrier for the last 35 years, will be closing its doors for good on July 30. Raya Ramsey of D Magazine first reported the news.

According to Ramsey, Ahab Bowen has long been the pillar of vintage shopping in Dallas; even former mayor Laura Miller called the shop "a Dallas institution". But, while shoppers won't get to enjoy Ahab Bowen for much longer, the store is offering everything for 25-percent off right now and starting next Monday, everything will be 50-percent off.

So come out and get a piece of Ahab Bowen while the store is still here.
