A special collection of art donated by 12 local artists will be sold to benefit Dallas 24 Hour Club (The 24) during the 27th Annual David Dike Fine Art (DDFA) Texas Art Auction on Saturday, October 21. One hundred percent of proceeds from the sale of these highlighted works will support The 24’s mission to provide transitional living, support services and essential life skills for homeless alcoholics and addicts, so they can embrace long-term sobriety and become contributing and self-supporting members of the community.

Local artists who donated art this year include: Joel Bermano, Brenda Bogart, Cindy Brewer, Leticia Herrera, Odilia Iaccarino, Tiara Jenkins, Kristi Kennimer, Nancy Lamb, Carly Allen Martin, Brie Milam, Margaret Rehwinkeland Kim Wyly.

The 24 was first introduced to David Dike in 2021 by Shannon Wynne, vice chair of Dallas 24 Hour Club, as David and his wife Beth have a heart for recovery. Each fall, DDFA holds a Texas Art Auction, and this is the third year The 24 has been a beneficiary of select art featured in DDFA’s Texas Art Auction.

The auction will showcase more than 400 lots of Texas Art ranging from early and traditional to contemporary works, which will be available for live in-person, live online, phone and absentee bidding.  Doors will open on October 21, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. and bidding will start promptly at 10:30 a.m. CSTArt will be available for preview from October 2-20, Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at David Dike Fine Art located in Alpha Plaza at 4887 Alpha Rd., Suite 210, Farmers Branch, Texas, 75244. Auctioneer, Louis Murad (TXS 13362) will lead the auction.
