2017 A Night to Remember, CitySquare’s annual fundraiser will feature Academy Award, Grammy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award winning DreamGirl, Jennifer Hudson. The acclaimed singer and actress who will be featured as a coach on NBC’s 2017 The Voice, will perform to benefit CitySquare’s poverty fighting programs.
A Night to Remember will take place on September 9th at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House. Co-chairs for the event are Wendy and Boyd Messmann, Kara and Ross Miller, Tiffany Touchstone-Hawkins and Brandon Hawkins, and Sherel Riley.
CitySquare event planners promise another unforgettable evening of entertainment. Previous performers have included the likes of BB King, Steve Martin, Diana Ross, Jay Leno, Aretha Franklin, Hall & Oates and last year’s Jerry Seinfeld concert that raised record dollars for CitySquare. Sponsors of 2017 A Night to Remember will receive perks galore including premier seating, valet parking, access to the pre-concert VIP Lounge (lots of great food and libations), the annual after party, recognition on event materials, even passes to the Meet & Greet with Jennifer Hudson.
For almost three decades, CitySquare has been fighting the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship. Proceeds from A Night to Remember support CitySquare’s 17 social service programs that address hunger, health, housing, and hope with more than 50,000 human touches annually.
