CitySquare recently launched Up Close with CitySquare, a speaker series that will feature authors, sports figures, and social influencers who support the fight against poverty.

On March 19th, 250 guests listened to Pulitzer Prize-winning, New York Times columnist Nicholas D. Kristof over breakfast and afterwards participated in a Q & A session with Kristof and CitySquare CEO Larry James. The event took place in the Martha Proctor Mack Grand Ballroom at SMU.

CitySquare’s commitment to fighting poverty includes raising awareness about the issues surrounding poverty’s causes and effects. The Up Close with CitySquare series is an opportunity to hear thought leaders who have joined the fight.  Future Up Close events will be announced on the CitySquare website, www.CitySquare.org/UpClose
