Forshee is the founding member and managing partner, along with Christine “Chrissi” Hathaway, who joined him in co-founding the Dallas-based firm. “We are taking a dream-team approach to building our firm and have created a practice where high-quality work doesn't have to cost our clients big dollars. Born and reared in rural Mississippi with very humble beginnings, Forshee learned early on that hard work, tenacity and persistence are the keys to success. A standout high school athlete, Forshee was the first in his family to go to college. He graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi College and then put himself through law school at the University of Mississippi School of Law. He went on to earn a Master of the Laws (LL.M.) degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Taxation, where he graduated with distinction. In his career, he has been named one of DMagazine’s Best Lawyers in Texas, as well as one of Thomson Reuters’ Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars (Tax). Forshee was one of the youngest attorneys in Mississippi when he earned his license from The Mississippi Bar. He is currently licensed with the State Bar of Texas.
Hathaway is an experienced deal attorney with more than 25 years of experience providing legal advice in a wide array of corporate, securities and business related transactions across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, energy, consumer products, healthcare and financial services for clients ranging from start-up ventures to Fortune 100 companies. Her practice includes extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance (including public and private issuances of debt and equity securities), private equity, joint ventures and general business matters.
She also regularly counsels her clients in everyday matters, including corporate governance, business formation, corporate and partnership/LLC law issues and commercial agreements. She has also served as outside general counsel to numerous clients throughout her career. The depth of her knowledge and experience allows her to anticipate the significant legal and business issues in a transaction and provide creative solutions for her clients.
