Drivers might have to take a few detours this weekend as the city of Dallas is shutting down Woodall Rodgers Freeway at midnight on Saturday. Construction crews will be installing beams for the new Woodall Rodgers Deck Park that will eventually span over the top of the freeway.

The eastbound lanes will be closed throughout the weekend and will only repon at 5 a.m. on Monday. The westbound lanes also close at midnight on Saturday but will reopen briefly on Sunday from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. before closing and reopening again at 5 a.m. on Monday.

The westbound frontage (access) roads will be closed from midnight Saturday until noon on Sunday. However, the eastbound frontage roads will remain open over the weekend.
