Green Grocer continues its Chefs’ Choice Charity program in October with Garden Café’s Mark Wooten and choice charities Texas Honeybee Guild and GROW North Texas.

 

On Tuesday, October 7, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Green Grocer features samples of Wooten’s kale salad with avocado and honey roasted pecans.  Taste the “Vegetation Station” signature smoothie which includes kale, spinach, parsley, mango, banana, coconut oil and coconut water as well as bites from various Green Grocer partners.

 

A portion of the proceeds from each will benefit GROW North Texas and Texas Honeybee Guild through October 31.

 

The Chefs’ Choice Charity program features a new chef, menu item and juice each month with a portion of the proceeds donated to a favored non-profit.

 

Since January 2013, Green Grocer has become a neighborhood staple featuring organically grown and locally produced food products and specialty items. Close relationships with farmers and producers supports the local economy and decreases transportation costs and emissions and gives customers the freshest, most delicious foods available.
