KIDFILM presented by the USA Film Festival. This event, billed as the oldest and largest children’s film festival in the U.S., is also free. Kids can watch and discuss films from around the world, including The Boxcar Children, Maya the Bee Movie, The Boy and the World, Antboy and The Legend of Longwood. Children’s book authors Alison McGhee and Kathi Appelt will be on hand for a tribute to their work on Jan. 24 at 12:30 p.m. (both authors will sign books, and there’ll be a free copy of McGhee’s So Many Days and Appelt's When Otis Courted Mama for each child, while supplies last). The fest runs Jan. 24-25. Events are in the afternoon and early evening, see the the USA Film Festival website for a complete schedule.
