Ski Chalet Mountain Mama Project by Cashmere Interior

PROJECT: "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY ON SKIS"

High up in the hills of the Yellowstone Club, this little mama exudes positive energy. With a “super white” back drop, natural wood reclaimed timber framework and an interior that is boldly happy and cheerful we truly created a design that just makes you smile. The immense windows are truly a “window to the world”. They frame and embrace the majestic wilderness surroundings. The rich blues, rusts, and saffrons connect throughout the interiors, and meld the bohemian vibe seamlessly into a ski chalet.

“We wanted a rustic-modern ski chalet that also embraces a bohemian farmhouse vibe,” says Cashmere Interior owner and principal designer Charlene Petersen, describing the firm’s scheme for a Big Sky, Montana, home whose centerpiece is this high-ceilinged, white-walled living room. To make the space ultra-comfy, Petersen outfitted it with Verellen sofas and swivel chairs, a custom antler chandelier and a Moroccan carpet from Esmaili Rugs.

The Cashmere team clearly had fun with this one. Bold wallpaper prints, quirky fabrics and a thread of taxidermy show a sense of humor, whimsy and allows guest to drop any pretense at the door. Upon entering this design, you know it’s ok to kick up your feet up and relax; there will be a good time had by all!
