The Old Red Courthouse Museum set quite a splendid scene for the 12th Annual FashionCITED benefiting Legal Hospice of Texas. Fifteen up and coming clothiers and designers were featured in a locally produced fashion show spotlighting clothing for the entire family.
Chaired by Francisco Flores, Cathy Preslar Garcia and Gary Walden, this fabulous and fun event was themed Fashion on the Rocks, Shaken, Stirred and Styled. Held every spring, FashionCITED is one of Dallas’ premier fashion events. Judge Dominique Collins is Honorary Chair.
The designers were Francisco Flores, FashionCITED co-chair; Cathy Preslar Garcia, FashionCITED co-chair; Sweet Baby Vintage By Jonathan Aparicio; Yomono, Gina Tran, Radkeem Sims, Mario Gallegos for La New Onda, Keyla Garrido, Kara Lackey, Misa Vita by Misael Sepulveda, Silk Threads by Ruby Bhandari, Bladi Duran, Doris Flores Collection, Mizzen+Main and Haggar.
FashionCITED was launched in summer 2006 by Francisco Flores in efforts to give back to LHT for “giving him his life back.” Each year this event has continued to grow with the support of local designers and the community.
Francisco Flores and his husband, Jeff Cook leaned on Legal Hospice when Jeff stopped receiving his retirement and benefits from his former employer. With the help of Legal Hospice, the former employer was required to make all back payments for lost pay and Jeff maintains his retirement pay through today. Legal Hospice of Texas is honored to be associated with Francisco Flores in launching FashionCITED and thanks him for untiring efforts in making it a reality.
Since 1989, Legal Hospice of Texas has been providing timely and compassionate legal services, at no cost, to low income individuals with terminal illnesses or HIV disease.
