The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory effective until 9 a.m. this morning. 

The advisory is for snow and ice on area roadways due to freezing temperatures overnight. This is in effect for Dallas, Tarrant, Denton and Collin Counties. 

Many roadways have packed snow and some have become icy making for dangerous travel, the National Weather Service warns. There will be dangerous travel conditions across North Texas and multiple accidents have occurred.
