Fair Park is a treasure trove of valuable and historic Art Deco design and architecture, but the sprawling 200-acre site is only used to its fullest for one month a year. Otherwise, Fair Park sits vacant and surrounded by systemic urban decay.

So, how do you address the crumbling buildings and poverty that surrounds Fair Park? That's what the Dallas Architecture Forum will discuss tonight. Lead by D Magazine arts editor Peter Simek, the discussion will address Fair Park's role and what responsibility the nationally protected site has to the impoverished area that encircles it.
