Four Week Countdown!

Boots & Salutes benefiting Equest’s Hooves for Heroes

DALLAS – June 25, 2019 – The final countdown begins for Boots & Salutes, presented by CrossFirst Bank, benefiting Equest’s fastest growing program, Hooves for Heroes. On Friday, July 19, 2019, rally the troops and join Co-Chairs Carolyn Anderson and Norma Jean Schaltenbrand for the fun-filled, backyard picnic-style evening of tributes to the men and women who have served our country to protect our freedom. Celebrate Equest’s Hooves for Heroes success in helping warriors and their family members achieve optimum wellness while transitioning to civilian life through equine-facilitated therapies and activities.

Dress in your finest red, white, and blue and convene under the stars for an evening of non-stop fun and patriotism starting with a WWII T-6 Texan fly-over. Dance the night away to upbeat music by Ray Johnston Band and enjoy casual gourmet food stations by top Dallas restaurants including: Bar Louie, Carlton Provisions, Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen, Haute Sweets Patisserie, Kolache Factory, Pop Star Handcrafted Popsicles, Resident Taqueria, and Savor Gastropub. Take a break and cool off by perusing the stellar silent auction items and pose for a photo with Equest’s Mini Ambassadors, two miniature horses under 36 inches tall, plus many more surprises.

Sponsorships are available ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. Individual tickets are $75 for guests or to sponsor a veteran, and tables are $600 for eight guests. For more information, visit www.equest.org/boots or call 972.412.1099.

Through equine-assisted activities and therapies, Equest’s Hooves for Heroes program helps veterans and their families transition from military to civilian life and excel as community members, neighbors, and civic leaders. The individually tailored programs include mental health counseling, physical and occupational therapy, therapeutic horsemanship, carriage driving and more. Since its founding in 2012, Equest’s Hooves for Heroes has helped more than 1,500 veterans and military family members at no cost, thanks to generous grant funding, charitable donations, and underwriting.
