Honorary Chairs Introduced along with Venue Change for DSOL Fashion Notes

Event chairs Sharon Lee Clark and Kira Nasrat will kick-off the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League 9th Annual Fashion Notes Luncheon and Style Show on October 13, 2022 in a brand new venue. The event has been filled to capacity at the Fairmont Dallas for the past few years and will now be hosted by Virgin Hotels Dallas at its premiere location in the Design District located at 1445 Turtle Creek Boulevard.

“We are delighted to celebrate elegantly bold fashion and timeless music in this incredible new venue,” said DSOL President Cynthia Beaird.

Sharon and Kira are excited to introduce the Honorary Chairs for this event, mother-daughter duo Janie Donosky Condon and Patsy Donosky, longtime supporters of the Dallas Symphony and well known throughout the Dallas arts community.

“When we were considering who could be the perfect Honorary Chairs for Fashion Notes, Janie and her mother Patsy came to mind,” said Sharon. “Here is a mother and daughter who have a long charitable history of serving the Dallas community especially the symphony as leaders and role models. We are so grateful for their wisdom and support.“

Patsy and Janie are the daughter and granddaughter of the late Juanita and Henry Miller, a philanthropic family that has been instrumental in transforming the DSO and the Dallas arts community through the years with their support.

Patsy and Janie’s lives have been parallel in multiple organizations through the years. Both have been chairmen of the Women’s Board of the Dallas Opera and both have been Dallas Opera Ball Chairmen. They are in the Dallas Woman’s Club and the Dallas Garden Club. They were both honored in the Crystal Charity Ball Best Dressed Hall of Fame and have both been named Theta of the Year by the Dallas Alumni Group.

Separately, Patsy is a former president of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League and former president of the Junior Group. She has been Chairman of Texas Women for the Arts, Texas Cultural Trust Council, UTSW President’s Advisory Board, and Center for Brain Health Leadership Council. She has been recognized with numerous awards including the 2002 TACA/Neiman Marcus Silver Cup Award, the Dallas Garden Club Louise Perry Award, and the Champion of the Arts Award 2012 – Texas Women for the Arts.

Janie and husband David have had three Symphony Debutante daughters. She is a past Cattle Baron’s Ball Chairman and has co-chaired The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society St. Valentine’s Day Style Show and Luncheon, the Kidney Texas Fashion Show, and Vine and Dine benefiting Ability Network. She is also a sustainer in the Junior League.

This year’s featured Designer Award will be presented to designer Lele Sadoughi. Stunning fashions from St. John will be modeled in a runway presentation by League members and their families, past and present DSOL Debutantes, and members of the DSO Family. Highlighting fashion design and the Dallas Symphony Community, the event starts with a morning reception and raffle followed by a fashion presentation and luncheon live auction. Local favorite Scott Murray will serve as the emcee.

Bachendorf's is confirmed as the fine jewelry sponsor of Fashion Notes. Fallon Bock is now designing jewelry for Fallon B and Bachendorf's and will be donating a piece in the live auction. She has a long history with the DSOL as she is a past Debutante and has served as President of the Assembly.

The event is sponsored by PaperCity, the print and digital local luxury lifestyle media sponsor, and Virgin Hotels Dallas.

Krane Home will be the exclusive home decor sponsor, donating a room of wallpaper, a large framed artwork, and pillows to the auction and Raffle.
