Architect and Professor Wilfried Wang Will Address the Dallas Architecture Forum on November 12th

Dallas Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public education about architecture, design and the urban environment, is pleased to present architect and professor Wilfried WANG.  He will speak Tuesday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. at The Magnolia Theatre, 3699 McKinney Avenue.

Dividing his time between professional and academic careers, Wilfried Wang excels at both. In partnership with Barbara Hoidn he practices in Berlin, and as O'Neil Ford Centennial Professor he teaches architecture at UT-Austin. Earlier he was director of the German Architecture Museum from 1995 to 2000; and along with Nader Tehrani, he founded the journal 9H Magazine. Wang has also held positions at ETH Zurich, Harvard, and the University of Navarra.

The lecture will occur at 7:30 p.m. at The Magnolia Theatre, with a complimentary reception for lecture attendees beginning at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $20 per lecture for general admission and $5 for students (with ID). Tickets can be purchased at the door before the lecture. No reservations are needed to attend Forum lectures.

At 6 p.m. on the evening of November 12th attendees are encouraged to also come to a discussion on the impact of the Kennedy assassination on architecture in Dallas following that tragic event.  The 6 p.m. Kennedy discussion will be presented by the Dallas Center for Architecture at the Magnolia Theatre (venue for the reception and lecture).  Following the discussion, attendees can join the reception hosted by the Forum and then the Forum lecture by Professor Wang.   

Dallas Architecture Forum members receive free admission to all regular Forum lectures as a benefit of membership, and AIA members can also receive free admission to this lecture and can earn one hour of CE credit for attending.
