Crescent Property Services LLC, J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives, and Lively Local Markets today announced the start of a monthly Friday night artisan market at McKinney & Olive to continue its initiative to enhance Uptown’s growing, pedestrian-friendly environment. The Uptown Night Market at McKinney & Olive Grand Opening is a free event open to the public and scheduled for Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, from 6-10 p.m. at the outdoor piazza along Olive Street. Subsequent markets are planned for Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12, and Dec. 10.

The Uptown Night Market at McKinney & Olive is Uptown’s first monthly recurring large-scale night artisan market, featuring over 25 curated local artisans and makers, excellent food and drinks, live music, photo ops, lawn games, and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the evening. The market will feature handmade jewelry, accessories, home goods, visual art, candles, soaps, cutting boards, baked goods, and more. Live music performed by Kirk Thurmond and sounds from DJ Kiks is scheduled from 6-10 p.m. Parking for the night market is free during market hours at McKinney & Olive’s garages on Olive and Harwood streets. The event is open to all ages but will cater primarily to 21+ patrons.

The Uptown Night Market is the latest initiative to open up the landmark building, designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, as a gathering space for the vibrant and growing Uptown community. Located on a 3.1-acre site at McKinney Avenue and Olive Street, McKinney & Olive is juxtaposed amid the grandeur of the neighboring Ritz-Carlton and The Crescent® and just blocks from the Dallas Arts District and Klyde Warren Park.

With McKinney & Olive being in the heart of Uptown, it was a natural choice for the location in which to organize the market. One of the most notable and unique offerings at McKinney & Olive is the beautiful one-acre piazza designed and landscaped by landscape architect, The Office of James Burnett, who also designed Klyde Warren Park. The piazza is a stunning, open outdoor space accented with umbrella-covered tables, a water feature, a fire pit with lounge seating, lawn games, and valet parking for office and retail visitors, all framed with mature shade trees. McKinney & Olive offers 50,000 square feet of ground-level retail and dining, featuring Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Doc B's Restaurant + Bar, Starbucks Reserve, Roti Modern Mediterranean, MIXT, CycleBar, and Drybar.

In April, McKinney & Olive started featuring events on the piazza for customers in the building and the public to welcome customers back into office life and provide entertainment for its neighbors in Uptown. The events include live music and fitness classes each Thursday and select Saturday events such as the recent Sip & Drool Dog Party and Sip & Paint with Pinot’s Palette.
