The social scene is back with a roar after the summer hiatus, as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League teamed with Neiman Marcus NorthPark to honor four beloved Dallas society figures at the annual Dallas Symphony Orchestra League’s New Member Luncheon.

The luncheon was held on Sept. 25, 2013 at the home of Faye Briggs.

Honorary chairs include Faye Briggs, Doris Jacobs, Marilyn Hailey and Carmaleta Whiteley. The luncheon honored these ladies for their impact on the arts, fashion, and Dallas philanthropy. The event centered on the couture hat collection of Marilyn Hailey, one of the original Neiman Marcus models, coupled with fall shoes and handbags supplied by the legendary retailer. A special video documenting the lives of the women being honored was featured and created by Square 205.

“The event creates a unique opportunity to showcase fashion and honor extraordinary women for their commitment to community and family,” remarked Dallas Symphony Orchestra League President Ginger Sager.

The Dallas Symphony League is proud to report record increased membership this year and welcomes new members, many mothers of the 2013-2014 debutantes and Honor Guard. A seated lunch catered by Bread Winners Café followed the fashion exhibition. The Original Cupcakery of Dallas created a special Neiman Marcus handbag cupcake for the event with floral shoe centerpieces provided by Mediterranean Villa.   Veuve Clicquot champagne was provided courtesy of Moet Hennessey, and Total Wine also generously donated three cases of Cremant de Bourgogne, a new hot sparkling wine from France called Louis Boulilott Brut.

Ducky Bob’s supplied the tables and chairs. Paper Affair provided gorgeous, hat-styled invitations and thank you cards for each guest. James French Photography provided event day pictures, and Gold Crown supplied valet services at the venue.

The event was chaired by Allison Harding, Elizabeth Rose-Mendez and Patricia Armstrong.
