The Katy Trail is one of the most scenic and heavily used trails in all of Dallas. The trail starts near Southern Methodist University, stretches all the way through Uptown and ends at the American Airlines Center. And because of all the traffic it has, the Katy Trail needs regular maintenance on its trails, landscape and structures.

The Friends of the Katy Trail are asking for help and donations from users and supporters of the Katy Trail. And for those that give their support between October 5 till October 24, the Friends of the Katy Trail has a small reward in store for them. Supporters will receive a pair of orange commemorative laces to show off their support of the Katy Trail.

These distinctive orange laces will catch everyone's eyes the next time you're running on the Katy Trail and they'll know you're a supporter. And if you need another reason to support the Katy Trail, how about an endorsement of the trail from former Cowboys quarterback and Hall-of-Famer Troy Aikman?
