The Darrell K Research Fund for Alzheimer's Disease celebrated reaching the fundraising milestone of $3 million by honoring and thanking its Dallas donors at a recent dinner held at the Pecan Room at Old Parkland on Maple Avenue. Featured in the photograph above were Heike Cullum, Janet Bajer, host Julie Crenshaw, and host Rita Hortenstine. UT Southwestern President, Dr. Daniel Podolsky, praised the organization for reaching the $3M fundraising milestone and complimented the group for its rigorous way science is scrutinized before funding the researchers that are dedicating their careers to find a cure for the deadly disease. Additionally, DKR Fund grant recipient Dr. Steven Patrie spoke on behalf of the 2014 and 2015 grant recipients and the organizations dedication to continue funding the research efforts and their impact.
