The Sheraton Dallas Hotel announces General Manager Mark Sanders was awarded General Manager of the Year in the “Upscale and Midscale with Food and Beverage” category at the Hotel Association of North Texas’ 7th Annual HOSPY’s Awards and Silver Plume Gala held on Thursday, November 19
Since 2007, the HOSPY’s Awards Gala has been honoring excellence in the hospitality industry. The HOSPY’s is largest annual hospitality awards gala in North Texas.
Mark was honored with the coveted Crystal Pineapple Award, given in recognition of his excellence and outstanding efforts as General Manager of the Sheraton Dallas.
"I'm honored to have been chosen for this prestigious award," Mark said. "The success of our hotel can be attributed to not just my efforts, but the hard work and dedication of all of our remarkable staff members.”
Mark joined the Sheraton Dallas as general manager in 2013 with more than 34 years of hospitality experience specializing in operations, revenue generation, project management, openings, acquisitions and divestitures. Previously he served as the Regional Vice President with Millennium Hotels in New York City, an Area Manager in New Orleans with Marriott, and a Regional Human Resources Leader with Marriott. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business at Wilkes University.
