Trey has served as the Interim Conductor of the Dallas men’s chorus since August 15, 2011, following the resignation of Jonathan Palant and a national search for his replacement.

“Under his tenure as Interim Conductor, Trey has grown the quality of sound of the Chorale and also the number of members who are passionate about being the best male chorus in the world. There has never been any doubt in my mind that the Turtle Creek Chorale has great things ahead of it, but with David Fisher and Trey Jacobs at the helm, the horizon looks even brighter,” said Rev. Dawson B. Taylor, Chairperson, Turtle Creek Chorale Board of Directors.

Trey will report to David Fisher, Executive Director, and he will be responsible for the musical and artistic direction of the Chorale.  His primary duties will be to plan, manage and conduct weekly rehearsals and performances, and support the TCC Staff and Board in building and sustaining donor and patron relationships. Dawson Taylor asked one thing of them: Find the very best artistic director available and get that person to Dallas!  We all can say with full confidence that the search committee under the able leadership of Dr. Justin Lombardo and Doug Mitchell did exactly that. Upon the completion of a national search, we discovered that we already had the best in Trey Jacobs,” said David Fisher.
