Park Place Porsche General Manager Patrick Huston, Park Place Motorsports Driver & Team Manager Patrick Lindsey, and Park Place Porsche President Neil Grossman

More than 500 guests filled the Park Place Porsche showrooms and covered service drive for a Porsche Progressive Party, featuring a bevy of unique food, beverage and lifestyle experiences, to introduce the new 2017 Porsche 911.

"We are very excited about the new 911," stated Patrick Huston, General Manager of Park Place Porsche. "And, judging from the response we received from our guests, I’d say it’s going to be one of the most popular models yet. Of course, we can customize it to the client’s exact wishes, making their 911 distinctively their own."

Unveiled amid the backdrop of pulsating music, billowing smoke and undulating strobes, the sleek new 911 drew thunderous applause, immediately followed by the crowd surging forward for a closer look.

Park Place and West Village set the soiree bar very high, offering a sumptuous selection of palate pleasers from Crú Wine Bar, Eureka! Dallas, Mi Cocina, Public School 214 and Bisous Bisous; luscious libations from Milagro Tequila, Reyka Vodka, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Glenfiddich Whisky, Krombacher beer, Buda Juice and Dreaming Tree Wines; contemporary couture from Nicole Kwon Concept Store, S.I.C. Couture, Abi Ferrin, Rye 51 and Q Clothier; evolved experiences from V-Gar, MiniLuxe, 18/8 Fine Men’s Salon and Lure Salon; luxe lounges by Bella Accento and Bella Flora; and pulse-pumping sounds from DJs Jennifer Miller and Paul Parades.

The new 911 Carrera (MSRP $89,400) and 911 Carrera S (MSRP $103,400) come equipped with 3.0 liter, twin-turbo flat-six engines as standard equipment.  The 911 Carrera delivers 370 horsepower at 6500 rpm, going from 0 – 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The Carrera S offers 420 horsepower at 6500 rpm, to rocket from 0 – 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. But speed is meaningless without agility, and the 911 responds with aplomb. Both models come equipped with Porsche’s Active Suspension Management (PASM) with electronically adjustable dampers for control that grips the road and hugs the curves. Couple these advances with a lighter, aluminum alloy chassis and you’re in for a thrilling ride.
