Children’s Medical Center Executive, Justin J. Lombardo, Elected Chair of the Turtle Creek Chorale Board of Directors

Service as TCC Singing Member and as Board Member
Prepares Dr. Lombardo for Leadership Role with Dallas Men’s Chorus
 
 
August 2, 2012 – The Turtle Creek Chorale (TCC) Board of Directors announced today that Justin J. Lombardo has been elected to the post of Board Chair.
 
Dr. Lombardo, a long-time corporate education executive and higher education administrator was recruited by Children’s Medical Center, Dallas in January 2010. He currently serves as Vice President, Learning Institute and Chief Learning Officer.  He has been involved in the choral music movement for over 2o years in Minnesota and Chicago prior to coming to Dallas.  For more than two years, Justin has served as a singing member of the Chorale and as a member of the Board of Directors. 
 
Justin has served on Boards for not-for-profit organizations in education and the arts for the past 20 years.  He has served on education boards at regional, national and international levels including a Task Force on Technology and Education for an agency of the United Nations; Oversight Board for Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University; Capella University Advisory Board for School of Public Service and a Regent for St. John’s University.  He currently serves on the editorial board for Media Tec publications a leading publisher on periodicals in the field of training and development.
 
The election of TCC Board officers was held at the July 26, 2012 meeting.  The Board of Directors is responsible for the financial oversight, strategic planning and leadership direction of the chorus.  Justin Lombardo’s role as Chair becomes effective immediately.

The Turtle Creek Chorale is successful with items one and two. Our challenge as an organization is expanding the number three need and developing relationships with people who are generous philanthropists.
 
“The Chorale needs to grow its donor base significantly, so that we can continue to provide excellent choral music for audiences in Texas and beyond,” said Justin J. Lombardo, the newly elected Chair of the Turtle Creek Chorale Board of Directors.
 
Other members of the TCC Board of Directors include: Gene Dolphus, Paul Dunn, Hank Henley, David Hess, Jess McDowell, Zan Moore, Jayson Payne, Dick Peeples, Brian Rogers, Ryan Short and Chuck Sweatt.
 
The award-winning Turtle Creek Chorale was founded in 1980 and includes more than 200 singing members who perform a full concert series as well as upwards of 50 benefit performances each year. The mission of the TCC is to entertain educate unite and uplift audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation diversity and artistic excellent.
