In the ninth annual Big D Climb, the biggest such event in North Texas, participants will race up 70 stories of stairs at Bank of America Plaza in Downtown Dallas on January 28 to raise money for blood cancer research. More than 2,400 participants raced in 2016 and helped to raise $310,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year’s goal is $350,000. Activities begin at 7 a.m.

For security purposes, climbers will not be allowed to bring anything into the building on climb day except cell phone and ear buds to listen to music. Prohibited items include bags, weapons, coolers, strollers, etc. There will be a Gear Check located outside in the plaza where items can be stored prior to climbing.

Teams and individuals age 7 and up are eligible. Location: 901 Main Ste., Dallas. To sign up in advance (required), call Emile Blaine at 972-996-5932 or email Emile.Blaine@lls.org.
