Dallasites are challenged to perform 40 acts of kindness in 40 days beginning March 1 and running through April 9. Acts could include paying for a stranger’s cup of coffee, or, something on a larger scale, such as volunteering at a food bank.

After each good deed, participants are to post a picture/description of what they did on social media sites using the hashtag #40AOK in hopes that what they do will inspire others to take action. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts with #40AOK are brought together on the website, www.40aokchallenge.com.

The movement began in Dallas, but continues to spread across the nation.
