This exciting program brings the worlds of ballet and Broadway together for an evening filled with dynamic choreography, iconic music, theatricality, and the artistry of Avant Chamber Ballet’s professional dancers.
The program features Katie Puder’s Rhapsody in Blue, a vibrant work set to George Gershwin’s celebrated score. Combining the sophistication of classical ballet with the energy and musicality associated with Broadway and American dance, the work showcases the versatility and personality of Avant Chamber Ballet’s dancers.
The evening also features Christopher Wheeldon’s Carousel pas de deux, a beautiful work inspired by the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel. Wheeldon, one of today’s most acclaimed choreographers, brings his distinctive movement and storytelling to this romantic pas de deux.
Additional works and programming will be announced, creating an evening that celebrates the connection between dance, music, and the Broadway stage.
