Influenced by greats like Julie London, Laura Nyro, and Nancy Wilson, Carolyn Lee Jones has delighted fans and critics alike with her rich, silky vocals and extensive repertoire. Named the 2017 Sammons Cabaret Artist of the Year, she closes the fall season of Sammons Cabaret with “Hooray for the Girls,” a salute to the scores of female artists who have enriched our lives with music.
Sammons Cabaret is held at the Sammons Center for the Arts, 3630 Harry Hines at Oak Lawn. Tickets are $45 per person and include beverages, light appetizers, and valet parking. Refreshments are served beginning at 7:00 p.m. concerts begin at 8:00 p.m. Each concert features two performance sets of about 40 minutes each with an intermission between. Dress is generally business casual, but some wear cocktail attire.
