Notre Dame School Breaks Ground on Campus Renovation

Notre Dame School of Dallas has broken ground on an $11 million Capital Campaign.  The Hearts & Hammers Capital Campaign, chaired by Mary Terry, includes a campus-wide renovation, increase to the endowment, additional faculty and staff, and additional transportation to support vocational programs.

The school building was last renovated in 1989, and many upgrades are required to simply meet safety standards. Necessary capital improvements include the elevator, roof, windows, flooring, and HVAC system.  The facilities plan also calls for remodeling classroom space to allow a gradual enrollment increase of 20 students.

“It’s an exciting time at Notre Dame School.  We have an aggressive renovation plan this summer and we look forward to opening our doors to the students on the first day of school,” stated school principal, Theresa Francis.  Classrooms and offices are targeted for completion in August.  New construction which includes the gymnasium, cafeteria and foyer will be completed by December 2015.

Notre Dame School would like to recognize the Mike & Mary Terry Family Foundation and The Rees-Jones Foundation for their significant leadership gifts to the Hearts & Hammers Campaign.
