RPAC, the political arm of the National Association of REALTORS®, announced its endorsement of Pete Sessions, following a unanimous recommendation from the Texas Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee. In a statement, Texas Association of REALTORS® Chairman, Leslie Rouda Smith, cited Mr. Sessions’ hard work on housing issues as the primary reason for their support.

“Pete Sessions is a leader who understands how Washington can directly impact the real estate industry back home. Most importantly, Congressman Sessions has a proven record of fighting to protect homeownership and private property rights. When the EPA proposed a rule that would have expanded the waters it regulates, which would severely affect private property rights, Congressman Sessions fought to stop the overreach of this government agency. We need leaders like Congressman Pete Sessions in Washington to ensure that our best interests are protected.”

The 32nd Congressional District represents the area comprising Lake Highlands, Highland Park, Garland, Mesquite, Richardson, Rowlett, Sachse, University Park, and Wylie.

The National Association of REALTORS® was founded in 1908 and is America’s largest trade association with approximately 1.1 million members including NAR’s five commercial real estate institutes and its societies and councils. REALTORS® are involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries and belong to one or more of some 1,400 local associations or boards, and 54 state and territory associations of REALTORS®.
