MetroTex Association of Realtors endorses Richardson ISD Bond Package

Voters in Richardson are being urged to support a new bond package on the upcoming ballot in May.

“Nearly 38,000 students will benefit greatly if the bond referendum is passed,” said Russell Berry, president of MetroTex Association of Realtors. “Our members live in the communities we serve and we all agree that a healthy school system is one of the best things a community can offer its residents.”

The bond packages will allow Richardson ISD to complete much –needed renovations to existing schools, build new schools, and enhance wnrichment programs like career training, technology improvements and updates to instructional materials and libraries.

Because Richardson ISD is one of a very few districts that still offer a local homestead exemptions, tax levies would still be lower than most surrounding communities with passage of the bond. For the average homeowner in Richardson, the new bond package amounts an average of $11.58 per month in school taxes.

Early voting will take place from April 25 – May 3. Election Day follows on May 5. Voters can find more information by calling the Bond Information Hotline at 469-593-VOTE.
