The MetroTex Association of Realtors today announced its decision to endorse David Heape, Mary Carpenter and Janelle Moore in their re-election bids for Addison City Council. MetroTex President Russell Berry applauded the candidates' commitment to Texas homeowners.

 “North Texas is experiencing both tremendous growth and a burgeoning housing market,” said Berry. “That’s why we need local leaders like David Heape, Mary Carpenter and Janelle Moore, who understand the impact of key decisions on housing in their communities.”

Dallas-Fort Worth is expecting a continuation of the enormous population boom for several more years. MetroTex maintains that it is critical for local governments to plan for the future by understanding homeowners’ concerns and to bolster homeownership in the area. Supporting those efforts is the Association’s top priority this election season. Through the candidate interview process with MetroTex, David Heape, Mary Carpenter and Janelle Moore clearly showed a command of issues critical to sustaining our economy, as well as the needs and challenges our fast-growing area is facing.

Early voting continues through May 3, 2016 with Election Day on May 7.
