The MetroTex Association of REALTORS® today released Northeast Dallas homes sales figures for the month of May. MetroTex President Steve Habgood announced Northeast Dallas’s near-record volume of sales.

“The market in Northeast Dallas on is extremely active,” said Habgood. “While overall the number of available homes is low on any given day, homes that do appear on market tend to sell very quickly. There were 91 homes sold and 77 pending sales in Northeast Dallas last month.”

“We definitely recommend consumers develop a good relationship with their REALTOR® to help them navigate such an active market like Northeast Dallas is experiencing,” said Habgood.

Other highlights include of the MetroTex report include:

• The average sales price in Northeast Dallas is $360.481, a 10% increase.
• Average sales price is 98% of list price when listed with a REALTOR®
• The number of available homes on the market in May 2015 was 113, compared to 142 in May 2014.
• The average price per square foot in Northeast Dallas increased from $138 in May 2014 to $147 in May 2015. 

“We predict Northeast Dallas will continue to be part of one of the most active markets in the country,” said Habgood. “In Northeast Dallas, homes listed with REALTORS® are selling in 25 days on average.
