The MetroTex Association of REALTORS® today released SE Denton County homes sales figures for the month of May. MetroTex President Steve Habgood announced SE Denton County’s record volume of sales.

“The market in SE Denton County on is extremely active,” said Habgood. “While overall the number of available homes is low on any given day, homes that do appear on market tend to sell very quickly. There were 511 sold and 436 pending sales in SE Denton County last month.”

“We definitely recommend consumers develop a good relationship with their REALTOR® to help them navigate such an active market like SE Denton County is experiencing,” said Habgood.

Other highlights include of the MetroTex report include:

• The average sales price in SE Denton County is $290,000, an increase of 145 over last year.
• Average sales price is 99% of list price when listed with a REALTOR®
• The number of available homes on the market in May 2015 was 710 compared to 795 in May 2014.
• The average price per square foot in SE Denton County increased from $109 in May 2014 to $118 in May 2015. 

“We predict SE Denton County will continue to be part of one of the most active markets in the country,” said Habgood. “In SE Denton County, homes listed with REALTORS® are selling in 33 days on average.
