The MetroTex Association of REALTORS® today released Prosper homes sales figures for the month of May. MetroTex President Steve Habgood announced Prosper’s record volume of sales.

“The market in Prosper on is extremely active,” said Habgood. “While overall the number of available homes is low on any given day, homes that do appear on market tend to sell very quickly. There were 87 homes sold and 90 pending sales in Prosper last month.“

“We definitely recommend consumers develop a good relationship with their REALTOR® to help them navigate such an active market like Prosper is experiencing,” said Habgood.

Other highlights include of the MetroTex report include:

• The average sales price in Prosper is $460,020, an 18% increase over May 2014.
• Average sales price is 98% of list price when listed with a REALTOR®
• The number of available homes on the market in May 2015 was 210, compared to 183 in May 2014.
• The average price per square foot in Prosper increased from $114 in May 2014 to $131 in May 2015. 

“We predict Prosper will continue to be part of one of the most active markets in the country,” said Habgood. “In Prosper, homes listed with REALTORS® are selling in 74 days on average.
