The MetroTex Association of REALTORS® today released the Park Cities homes sales figures for the month of May. MetroTex President Steve Habgood announced the Park Cities’ near-record volume of sales.

“The market in Park Cities on is extremely active,” said Habgood. “While overall the number of available homes is low on any given day, homes that do appear on market tend to sell very quickly. There were 81 sold and 70 pending sales in Park Cities last month.”

“We definitely recommend consumers develop a good relationship with their REALTOR® to help them navigate such an active market like Park Cities is experiencing,” said Habgood.

Other highlights include of the MetroTex report include:

• The average sales price in Park Cities is $1,438,718, an increase of 9% over last year.
• Average sales price is 97% of list price when listed with a REALTOR®
• The number of available homes on the market in May 2015 was 273, compared to 280 in May 2014.
• The average price per square foot in Park Cities increased from $366 in May 2014 to $372 in May 2015.

“We predict Park Cities will continue to be part of one of the most active markets in the country,” said Habgood. “In Park Cities, homes listed with REALTORS® are selling in 40 days on average.
