The MetroTex Association of REALTORS® today released Plano homes sales figures for the month of May. MetroTex President Steve Habgood announced Plano’s near- record volume of sales.

“The market in Plano on is extremely active,” said Habgood. “While overall the number of available homes is low on any given day, homes that do appear on market tend to sell very quickly. There were 345 sold homes and 308 pending sales in Plano last month.“

“We definitely recommend consumers develop a good relationship with their REALTOR® to help them navigate such an active market like Plano is experiencing,” said Habgood.

Other highlights include of the MetroTex report include:

• The average sales price in Plano is $375,203, an increase of 22% over last year.
• Average sales price is 100% of list price when listed with a REALTOR®
• The number of available homes on the market in May 2015 was 443, compared to 472 in May 2014.
• The average price per square foot in Plano increased from $110 in May 2014 to $128 in May 2015. 

“We predict Plano will continue to be part of one of the most active markets in the country,” said Habgood. “In Plano, homes listed with REALTORS® are selling in 25 days on average.
