Voters in Rockwall are being urged to support the Rockwall ISD bond referendum on the upcoming ballot in November.

“Rockwall students will benefit greatly if the bond referendum is passed,” said Steve Habgood, president of MetroTex Association of Realtors. “Our Realtors live in the communities we serve and we all agree that a healthy school system is one of the best things a community can offer its residents.”

The bond referendum will allow Rockwall ISD to complete much –needed renovations to existing schools and build new schools. The bond will also incorporate new safety and security systems, technology and will fund the creation of the College & Career Academy, which will partner with Texas A&M Commerce and Collin College.

MetroTex Realtors also endorses Prop 1 to increase the homestead exemption from $15,000 to $25,000 and Prop 7 which creates a dedicated fund for Texas infrastructure without increasing taxes.
