The J’s Annual Senior Expo is an opportunity for individuals age 50+ to explore a wide range of local services available to them. A free bag lunch will be provided to the first 100 attendees, and there will be entertainment provided by Marty Ruiz and Lori Yeary. Senior Expo attendees will also be treated to nutrition education, health screenings, flu and pneumonia vaccines, memory-boosting games, giveaways and more. Baylor, Scott & White will provide a no-cost wellness presentation after lunch. Guests can also try fitness classes including Tai Chi, Core 4 Life, Non-Impact Aerobics, Chair Pilates, Silver Sneakers BOOM or Country Line Dancing. New this year, guests are invited to participate in StoryCorps being recorded on-site as a means of preserving important senior voices for generations to come. Attendees are also invited to stop by the “Hospitality Suites” for a fun photo booth, as well as popcorn and other snacks. This is the perfect opportunity to see firsthand all the services available in North Texas for active seniors. The Senior Expo will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aaron Family Jewish Community Center (The J), 7900 Northaven Rd. in Dallas.
