Best Seling Author Daniel Silva Returns to Dallas July 23 to Headline Bookfest

After a sellout appearance in 2016, New York Times bestselling author Daniel Silva returns to North Texas on Monday, July 23 at 7 p.m. as part of The Margot Rosenberg Pulitzer Dallas Jewish Bookfest. A world-class practitioner of spy fiction, Silva will discuss his career and his newest release THE OTHER WOMAN, which releases July 17, during an evening of insightful Q&A moderated by Dallas Morning News’ Arts and Features Writer Michael Granberry. To accommodate a larger crowd, this year’s event will take place at Congregation Shearith Israel, 9401 Douglas Ave.in Dallas. Tickets, available online, are $40 per person. Each ticket includes one signed, first-edition copy of The OTHER WOMAN. Additional signed books are available for advance purchase. For additional information, the public can contact Rachelle Weiss Crane at (214) 239-7128.

Master novelist Daniel Silva has thrilled, entertained, and educated readers with thoughtful and gripping spy novels featuring a diverse cast of compelling characters and ingenious plots that have taken them around the globe and back - from the United States to Europe, Russia to the Middle East. Set in an isolated village in the mountains of Andalusia, THE OTHER WOMAN tells the story of  a mysterious Frenchwoman working on a dangerous memoir. It is the story of a man she once loved in the Beirut of old, and a child taken from her in treason’s name. The woman is the keeper of the Kremlin’s most closely guarded secret. Long ago, the KGB inserted a mole into the heart of the West—a mole who stands on the doorstep of ultimate power. Only one man can unravel the conspiracy: Gabriel Allon, the legendary art restorer and assassin who serves as the chief of Israel’s vaunted secret intelligence service. Gabriel has battled the dark forces of the new Russia before, at great personal cost. Now he and the Russians will engage in a final epic showdown, with the fate of the postwar global order hanging in the balance. Gabriel is lured into the hunt for the traitor after his most important asset inside Russian intelligence is brutally assassinated while trying to defect in Vienna. His quest for the truth will lead him backward in time, to the twentieth century’s greatest act of treason, and, finally, to a spellbinding climax along the banks of the Potomac River outside Washington that will leave readers breathless.

“We are so honored to have Mr. Silva join us once again as part of the line up for Dallas Jewish Bookfest,” said Rachelle Weiss Crane, producer of the event. “Based on his sell-out appearance in 2016, it’s clear he has a huge fan base in North Texas. We are so grateful to be able to continue to share his personal accounts with Bookfest attendees.”
