Building on the long-term success of their Dallas and Austin locations of Barking Hound Village, owners Lisa and Jeremy Jones have decided to open a second Dallas location of the popular Texas luxury dog hotel. The new Barking Hound Village Central is located at 5605 Dyer St. in Dallas (near SMU Blvd. and Greenville Ave.) and opened on May 8. As a way to meet and greet new neighbors, Barking Hound Village Central will host a Yappy Hour on Thursday, May 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Guests are invited to bring their dog to visit the new space or arrange for their dogs to attend daycare that day and then pick them up during Yappy Hour that evening. Light bites, beer and wine will be served and staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the services provided by Barking Hound Village.

Featuring more than 7800 square feet of pet perks, this Barking Hound Village location will continue to offer the distinctive services that customers have come to know and love including daycare, boarding (with private suites with TVs) and bathing for dogs of most sizes and breeds. Among its many amenities, the space will include K9 grass, an artificial grass designed for dogs, and two, large indoor playrooms. And Barking Hound Village will continue its tradition of fostering a rescue dog from  DFW-Rescue Me, a North Texas-based animal rescue organization, until he or she finds a forever home. Barking Hound Village also supports DFW-Rescue Me by hosting the annual Kibble and Cocktails event to help raise monies for its programs and services.

“We’re thrilled to be able to duplicate our level of service in Dallas with the opening of the Barking Hound Village Central location,” said Owner Lisa Jones. “Our Love Field/Cedar Springs location is very popular, but we wanted to respond to the need for a space that could easily cater to customers traveling on 75 or Greenville or living in near-by neighborhoods. Like our other locations, we’ve included pop-art pet murals, private suites, play yards and all of the other special touches that truly make it a luxury dog hotel.”

The newest Barking Hound Village location opened to the public today, May 8. It can accommodate up to 90-95 dogs at a time for a variety of services including daycare, boarding and bathing. The staff of dog-lovers are also Pet CPR and first-aid certified. Additionally, customers can keep an eye on their four-legged friends throughout the day via photos and videos uploaded frequently to Facebook. A complete service and pricing guide is available online, and reservations can be made on the website or by calling (469) 941-4242.
